Well hello 2014!

Initially, plan was just to spend the night and counting down with my man. However, we decided to ask Nisa and Nurul along. And besides that, Nisa brought along a friend of hers too.

We decided to eat our fave place, Fika and as they did not accept any reservations for the night, we were lucky to found out that the place was not crowded! I was so relieved and happy. We arrived at about 8ish and placed our orders. As always, my man and I are rather big eaters and had our all time fave dish. To go along, we tried their potato salad which came in super big portion but it was sooo goood I tell you. We all had a taste of the cakes too for dessert after our heavy meal. Key lime pie, hazelnut praline and caramel chocolate cheesecake. Yummm!

We went pretty crazy taking photos after that with polaroids and all. It was almost 10 when the supervisor encouraged us to leave. Haha! So off we went and bought drinks before walking and settling for a spot while waiting for the the clock to strike midnight. We were all kinda tired and sleepy actually while waiting. Then before we knew it, it was about time to countdown. The crowd wasn't as loud and excited as last year and the fireworks wasn't as exciting compared to last years too. But it was nice to experience the moment. Everybody else was busy holding on to their gadgets and aiming at the same angle to capture the fireworks. But the best part, I didn't even took any photos and lived the moment!

Woke up to a quiet morning today as the road seems to be very quiet and empty, which was nice. Well, hope all of you have a blessed and happy 2014! To my loved ones, may Allah grant you with abundance of health and happiness. Be safe and protected from any negative and bad things.
