First and foremost, we finally experienced rain in months! So grateful and blessed that Allah had heard our prayers and granted us the rain.

The dry spell was really terrible and it was quite a pity that all the greenery actually turned brown. Not only that, even the water in the pond had literally dried up.

I saw a picture online showing the dried up pond at the botanic gardens and at first I was quite sceptical about it. So when my closest friends and I went for a picnic there last week, it was quite sad to see the truth that the pond was literally dried up. Not only the picnic-goers were affected by the heat and surrounding environment, I pity the swans in the lake too. Fortunately though, there were a small part of it which still had water despite being shallow.

However, we did have a nice time while we were there. Good food and great company were enough to make us forget about the hot and dry weather.

In the meantime, my man was having his staff retreat in Bintan so we met up right after his arrival in Singapore. My poor guy was so shagged from his hectic week from his rock fest to his dislocated knee and all. We had our meal at Manhattan Fish Market as he was mad hungry and was in need of "real food" as he claims. While we were there, we booked ticktes to catch 300: Rise of an empire for the evening.

Another exciting thing happened that very day! It was me buying a ukulele!!! Part of it was paid by my man because he have always wanted to get me one. So thankful for that and all of his support that I finally am picking up ukulele. Thus far, I am getting the hang of it since I have no or very little musical backgrounds whatsoever. But I am progressing well I supposed. Must be posi!

So a bit more of backtracking. Last weekend, my man and I had another round of buffet at Seoul Garden. I swear my man is having a mad buffet fever going on! Again, we only had limited time but we did gorge on all the good stuff! We do what we do best after that which was, sitting for another 2 hours or so for Need for Speed in the cinemas.

That night too, we caught an acoustic set called Instrumentally Yours, which the great guitarist Mr Rosli Mansor was performing. Like most people who aren't very aware of the local music scene like me, I have no clue who he was until my man introduced me to his music and I was sold!

I guess this shall be another post without any visuals. I have photos which I want to upload together with this entry but am too lazy to do so. Heee.

Before I end, today marks the 47th month of being together with my beloved boyfriend, Akhbar. A month more till we hit the number 4! It has been a long journey together and although it might not be smooth all of the days, he is still the one that I will look for no matter what. Thank you for being an amazing person who is always there to give me the encouragement when I needed and made me a more confident and happier person! I love you to the moon, around and back!

On a side note, it's quite a last minute plan for me but I will be flying to Hong Kong in a couple of days! Disneyland here I come!!!
