Hello 2015!
I had a good time last night. Felt a bit guilty though because my boyfriend was actually not so keen on going out cus he just wants to stay in as he was tired. But I dragged him along still. Nevertheless, we had our Swedish NYE dinner for the second consecutive year with Nisa and Nurul.
So I'm supposed to be doing my work but... I was just thinking of my plan.
I've always wanted to be married at the age of 25 or 26, the most but seems like that plan is not workable anymore. On a side note, I can't believe I will be a quarter of a century this year! So old please, and I'm like still stuck as a student. So anyway, since I will only be graduating in 2016 (when I am 26), my plan is to work (thanks to that 2 year bond which I can't escape from) and save money. Really gotta catch up on my finances.
With that said, my plan to get married will be postponed till 2018 now. Quite a short time frame for myself, but I don't want to get married when I'm too old. I want to have a baby and all that.
If there is a need for engagement, I would like to have an intimate ceremony and keep it low profile. I wouldn't want to spoil all the fun and nerves meant for the actual wedding day. I would want to have a once in a lifetime experience for those occasions. If no engagement, all the better. Just the two families coming together to discuss and confirm on the wedding date, hantaran and other important things. And then let the excitement build up.
Anyway, these are just my 3 year plan. We can only plan, but Allah will decide.
As for now, I will continue on saving money. Well, I have always been saving money ever since I started my part-time job when I was 16. So once I've graduated and starts on my career again, it's not as though I have to start saving from scratch.
I already made plans with my boyfriend that this year on, we will go dutch. Meaning, I will pay half for all our dates. All these while (even when I'm working and he's in NS), I had been so pampered because he pays for almost everything. I guess now I will start to feel the pinch and maybe be much more thrifty on our dates. I wouldn't want to burden him too much because I know guy's have much more burdens to think of for the wedding (read: finances).
Okay okay, I can only dream for my wedding now. Time to snap out of it.
Have a good day 1/365!
