I am for one, not the most patriotic citizen. When people are all crazy over the NDP tickets, showing their patriotism by wearing Red, even when I myself have performed in the parade back in 2003 (not by choice obviously), I am still not going to be one of those people.
Not that I don't love my country. I do... But... I'll just keep it to myself here.
This year, however, is different. It's that special jubilee year where we turn 50. Everyone seems to be in a good mood apparently, especially retail shops. I mean, it's like another round of GSS, but better! Prices like $19.65, 50% off, 50 cents, $5..... the promotions go on. And oh, free data usage for the Jubilee Weekend for certain network users, free travels, free tickets or half price for places of interest. It's madness.
Okay this post seems to be like a dedication for my country already. I have to stop.
Just one I forgot to mention though, the long weekend.
That's my fave part of all.
Kicked off the weekend with a BBQ gathering with friends, met my man the day after for a chilled movie date because the next two days will be just rotting at home with my bae (laptop), coffee and ASSignments.
Please, please, please have these upcoming two days a rainy, sweater weather.
Let me now plan my day in tomorrow, write in my 3-year journal and snuggle up under my quilt.
Zzzzzz......
